New 12 noon to midnight Rouge a hit at the Fancy Food Show!

July 28th, 2010

A few weeks ago, 12 noon to midnight made a splash at the Fancy Food Show in New York City.  The three day event was attended by specialty food retailers, buyers, consumers, and other professionals on the lookout for delicious and innovative culinary ideas.  Walking around the show exposed you to foods and beverages from countries around the world, each one more delectable than the next.  It was a very exciting and busy event, especially with the introduction of 12 noon to midnight Rouge.

At the show, Team 12 sampled the new 12 noon to midnight Rouge flavor for the first time, and it was a smash hit!  Everyone commented on the delicious and refreshingly light, unique taste.  12 noon to midnight Rouge is a complex infusion of green, white, and black teas, fruit juices including pomegranate and red grape, sparkling water, and numerous herbs and spices, creating a distinctively delicious and flavorful culinary beverage.  12 noon to midnight Rouge complements the Original flavor in 12 noon to midnight’s all-natural, non-alcoholic culinary beverage line.

12 noon to midnight Rouge will be available in New York area markets wherever 12 noon to midnight Original is sold starting in September.

Be sure to check our our Twitter feed @Twelvebeverage and Facebook Fan Page for updates about 12 noon to midnight and to let us know your feedback!

A Celebration for the CT Food Bank!

April 26th, 2010

It was another successful night, of good food, good music and good company at the Fairfield County Eats charity event last week. The tasting event was to benefit the Connecticut Food Bank and its subsidiary organizations through out the Fairfield county. All proceeds from ticket sales went to the Food Bank, and with over 500 attendees, its was definitely a successful evening.

As one of the only non-alcoholic options at the event, Twelve was certainly well received. Equally, we had a great time introducing Twelve to a new audience of foodies. Guests were thankful to have a non-alcoholic beverage that they could take with them as they purveyed all the vendors. A testimony to the versatility of Twelve was that people were able to enjoy the beverage with everything from filet mignon, to Mediterranean cuisine, to seafood, and even homestyle barbecue. I was lucky enough to be able to try all the vendors (and I mean allllll the vendors) and everything was so delicious. It was truly an impressive evening.

We’d like to give a special shout-out to SBW Events Group for putting on a fantastic event and allowing foodies, caterers, chefs, and beverage companies like Twelve to come together for a great night of food, music, and fun.

Be sure to follow us on Twitter to find out where our next demos will be and when our next event will take place. We have a busy month coming up in May and you don’t want to miss a thing! Take care.

Spring is almost here, and the buzz surrounding Twelve is getting louder! We have been getting lots of positive feedback from people about Twelve – and they’re excited for what the future has in store for our company.

This week brought us up to Lincoln, Rhode Island for the Chex Finer Foods Trade Show.  Our booth at the show was decked out in all things Twelve – from posters, to handouts, to samples and lots of other swag.  Representatives from various independent markets were completely intrigued by the complex yet subtle flavors that make Twelve so unique.  The reaction from those who sampled Twelve was pretty unanimous: “Its delicious!” Many people said that the beauty of Twelve’s packaging was equal to the sophisticated flavor inside.

A number of those store representatives were thrilled to bring Twelve into their stores after they tasted it, and we couldn’t be happier to introduce our product to more and more people.  A great deal of store owners who already have the product on their shelves had also stopped by to share their own Twelve success stories. One store owner said that a customer had asked them to order a case, and it’s been flying off the shelves ever since!

There’s much more to come from Twelve in the near future, so stay tuned!

On Thursday evening Twelve participated in the Shelter for the Homeless “Tasting” Event in Stamford, CT.  The charity event was meant to raise money for the Shelter for the Homeless, a local organization who strives to help clients re-entry into the community.   They offer housing, educational and professional development as well as employment services.  The tasting event was a huge success and with over 600 attendees, they certainly were able to raise some much needed funds.

With live music playing in the background, guests were welcome to schmooze around the venue and mingle while tasting some of Fairfield County’s best dessert and wine finds.   The event featured a wide range of vendors, many of which displayed Valentine’s Day themed samples, adding to the festive appeal of the evening.  DiMare’s Pastry in Stamford, Ct offered classic Italian desserts and pastries, while Kona Grill served up some contemporary sushi cuisine.  Sample dinner plates were served up from Myrna’s Mediterranean Restaurant and Market, while St. Clair Ice Cream offered bite-sized sorbet treats.

Twelve was a very popular item throughout the evening.  Being one of the only non-alcoholic option, Twelve was well received by foodies, children, and those looking for something other than wine to drink.  Many people were immediately intrigued by the image of the bottle, and then pleasantly surprised upon tasting Twelve.   Many people commented that Twelve was the perfect beverage for that venue because it complimented both the dessert and dinner options.  A lot of people I spoke with appreciated the lightness of the beverage due to the rich and decadent cuisine that was being offered to eat.

Overall, the evening was very fun and extremely successful.  We had a wonderful time and not only were we able to introduce Twelve to a ton a of great people, but the Shelter for the Homeless was able to educate about their organization and raise funds to keep their mission alive.  Twelve would like to thank Scot Weicker for including us in the event, and hopefully we will be back next year!

Well Twelve is off to great start in 2010! We just got our sales reports back from 2009 and it turns out we had a record sales month during December!  This is very exciting for us.  The holiday season definitely played a big part in this, but a we also spent a lot of time and effort visiting stores and conducting demos.  So, thanks to everyone who helped make the end of 2009 a success!

As we move forward in 2010, things are really starting to pick up.  Twelve was just reintroducted into a handful of Wegmans stores across the Northeast.  We are very excited about being sold in Wegmans; as a company, we really respect the level of commitment Wegmans makes to their products and the satisfaction of their customers.

On to a different topic…In the next few weeks, we are going to be posting short bios about the team here at Twelve!  While we are a small company, there is a lot of talent and experience shared among our employees, which we want to share with you!  Tune in next week to see our first post featuring the faces of Twelve!

Here Comes 2010!!

December 29th, 2009

So, I hope everyone is recovering for their busy holiday weekend!  I know that we were very busy during December setting up demos and introducing Twelve to shoppers.   Twelve made a HUGE hit in the stores with shoppers as a non-alcoholic option for the table.  A lot of people mentioned that they loved the sophisticated flavor and the fact that Twelve is all natural and low in calories.  So, even though it has been a busy few months of demoing- we aren’t slowing down yet!

New Years is only a few days away and Twelve is the perfect option for those wanting to celebrate with a non-alcoholic beverage.  By serving Twelve in a champagne glass, guests can enjoy the party and still have something special to drink.  So, while you’re ringing in the new year be sure to keep an eye out for Twelve!  We have a lot of momentum moving in the company and will be keeping busy with demos as we set the stage for 2010!  Happy New Years!

PS-  If you served Twelve at any holiday party or plan to for New Years- let us know!  How did it go? Stories? Pictures? We want to hear it all!

Happy Holidays, Twelve fans!

December 23rd, 2009

Welcome to the inaugural post for the Twelve Beverage Blog!  As a new beverage in the culinary world, Twelve has carved its own path in the industry.  Emerging as the hot new non-alcoholic alternative to everyday substitutes like iced tea, soda and water, Twelve has swept in with impressive support from food lovers across the country.  Developed by famed chefs of NYC, Alfred Portale and David Burke, Twelve is made of a complex combination of organic teas, all-natural fruit juices and exotic herbs and spices.  Burke and Portale’s passion for cooking has satisfied the need for a sophisticated non-alcoholic beverage that can be enjoyed alone or accompanied with exquisite cuisine.

The enthusiasm for Twelve has transcended from the food world and into the media and press.  Twelve is making a big splash as the hip new drink for consumers.  From a feature on the Today Show, to a review by Florence Fabricant in the New York Times, Twelve has been distinguished as the future of non-alcoholic beverages.  Twelve has also been celebrated in Pregnancy Magazine, Modern Bride, and House and Garden.  We also maintain a profile on Foodzie.com, an online gourmet store which features a wide selection of new and classic gourmet items.  By visiting the site, twelvebeverage.foodzie.com, shoppers can learn more about Twelve through our profile page as well as purchase Twelve by the case.

Besides purchasing Twelve online, we also have an expanding retail store presence.  Currently, Twelve can be purchased in Whole Foods Market, Balducci’s, The Food Emporium, Guido’s Fresh Marketplace, Mrs. Green’s, Kings and D’Agostinos.  The majority of stores are located in the metro NY area and NJ.  However, Twelve can also be found in Whole Food stores in Boston and Providence.  Twelve is quickly moving through the US and plans are in the works to be in the rest of New England, Midwest, and California regions soon, so keep your eyes open!

Because Twelve has grown so quickly in popularity, we constantly have more information, ideas and events to share with the community. With an ever increasing need to reach our fans, this blog has been created as a means for us here at Twelve to share all the exciting happenings taking place.  Be sure to follow us on Twitter and check out Flickr to view pictures from our latest events.
